About Us

Pine Acres was formally established in 1962 as a local community center serving the Lincoln Heights neighborhood and the greater Fuquay-Varina community.  For more than 60 years Pine Acres has served the community as a regional location for Meals-on-Wheels, Educational Services, Nutritional Services, Voter outreach, polling locations, youth programs and any other social initiatives that can benefit the local community.  Pine Acres served as a distribution hub for the Wake County Public Schools System Child Nutritional Services food programs, starting in March 2020, throughout the COVID-19 Pandemic.  During this period, Pine Acres has also continued to serve as a resource to the local community to help supplement the needs of the Fuquay-Varina community through distribution of PPE (sanitizer and masks), physical resources for disaster relief and additional nutritional needs of the community not covered by the WCPSS CNS program.  Pine Acres Community Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit managed by a volunteer board of directors.
